We Must Find a Cure! 31 Days of Pink...(Day 7)

As promised, here is the second pink from the Orly Electronica collection, SynchroSynchro is a pinky, mauve with a blue iridescence. In the bottle it has a duochrome appearence.  It is close to impossible for me to pass up duochromes.

As I mentioned in the previous post, Synchro was released with the 2012 Electronica Collection earlier this year.

Just look at this bottle picture; how could any polish addict pass this by? It looks like a pink oil slick.

I must admit, on the nail, the finish is not as magnificent as it is in the bottle, but pretty nonethenless.  Synchro is a sheer polish is requires at least 3 coats to achieve full opacity. Pictured, this is two coats and you can still see visible nail lines.  You can see the blue iridescence, but I also had a difficult time trying to not get the brushstroke marks.

I was ready to post these pictures when I asked myself, what would Synchro look like over black? So I tried it over Sinful Colors Black on Black.

It still has that oil slick look. I think I will play with Orly Synchro and other layerings. But either way, this a duochrome that I couldn't pass up.

  1. The colors are pretty but too much brushstroke for me!

  2. @Lindsey, Thanks, the brushstokes are a pain, but the uniqueness I saw when I layered this over a darker color, it is so worth it.
